At Moon Drops, we’re proud that our product is Made in America from grain to glass, right here in Fortville, Indiana.
When we launched Moon Drops, it was right before COVID-19 hit. And when the pandemic shut down manufacturing, we knew supporting the economy was more important than ever. So that’s what we did.
Throughout our journey we have dedicated our efforts to making sure that everything about Moon Drops kept local businesses strong and increased domestic job growth.
- For starters, Big Mama – our 14-foot tall, copper still – which came to us from down the road in Louisville, Kentucky. She represents a commitment we, here at Moon Drops, made to distill the highest-quality spirits and to source everything we could from American businesses.
- Our corn, barley and rye come from a local supplier who purchases grain from farmers who are basically our neighbors.
- Our barrels and fermenting tanks come from Kentucky, the bourbon capital of the world.
- Our bottles? Yup – made in America.
- The control board that runs it all made its way to us from the sunshine state of Florida.
- All the way down to the equipment that bottles up the finished product – the cleaner, the filler, the labeler, the boxes… even the shrink wrapping comes from American businesses.
We know we could just as easily outsource some of these things and save a few bucks, but to us everything that comes out of Moon Drops is an act of love and pride in what we do. It just makes sense to take the same pride in supporting local businesses.
